SANIMED was founded in 1983 and is active in the field of healthcare management. The company has a total of 25 locations, employs 600 people nationwide and has twelve subsidiaries. Since leaving the Hartmann Group in 2020, SANIMED was faced with a new challenge due to a restructuring in the IT department and had to issue a call for tender to equip the Scan Center. IRISXtract™ was able to win the new tender and help SANIMED to better manage the digital mailroom.

Digitalisation of daily incoming mail in the insurance industry

The Kaufmännische Krankenkasse (KKH) in Hanover is a public-law substitute insurance fund with a budget of around 5.7 billion euros. Around 3,800 employees look after about 1.7 million insured people throughout Germany. The communication of a health insurance company with its insured is multi-layered and requires a high organisational effort across all subject areas. KKH insurance has reorganised and accelerated these processes together with CBS. With the help of IRIS, all of the insurance company’s incoming mail from the 110 branch offices in Germany could be redirected to a bulk mailbox in Hanover. As a result, all documents reach the responsible clerks nationwide in digital form on the day they are received.
