Automated Tax Form Processing
“In 2008 the Ministry decided to set up a new architecture that will enable the administration to scan not only forms, but also annexes to tax declarations, incoming mail, rental contracts, mortgage loan contracts and other unstructured documents. This corporate scanning solution should be able to process 1 million pages per day, and bring a lot of new benefits to the tax authorities. IRIS has won this large contract thanks to an innovative design of the proposed solution. This was possible because IRIS masters not only the digitization process, but also the document management and workflow, as well as the very demanding IT infrastructure aspects.”
– Georges Arendell, Belgian Ministry of Finance

Digitizing Medical Records
“We mainly deal with three types of documents. The first type is treatment certificates. The second type is applications for disability status and compensation. The third type is general correspondence. These documents are digitized when they arrive at the mutual insurance company. They are stored in a central archive, injected into the work streams, and of course can be viewed via a whole series of applications.”
– Jean-Paul Adans, General Manager, M-team (MLOZ IT department)

Automating Mortgage Applications
Record Bank is a member of the ING Group. They have installed an IRISXtract™ solution to optimize the processing of more than 100 mortgage applications every day. Each application is a file containing various folders, which again contains various document types such as payslips, id card copies, warranty certificates, etc. (each file can contain up to 10 folders and 70 document types). The IRIS solutions ensures that these documents are classified, indexed and validated; can be retrieved easily; and that compliance rules are obeyed.
“Thanks to the electronic processing we are able to process cases much faster. Secondly, the documents are immediately available for both the intermediary, who is able to access them, and internal staff. And thirdly, the documents or files no longer get lost.”
– Ivan Demuynck, Senior Manager F.O. Credits, Record Bank
